Demonstrators calling for Canadian troops to be withdrawn from Afghanistan
braved inclement weather in cities across the country to take part in rallies
called by labour groups, peace activists and Muslim organizations.
Turnout
was mixed, depending on weather conditions. In driving snow in Edmonton,
fewer than 100 people marched, while several hundred braved the rain in
Montreal.
Francisco Juarez, who was fined by the Canadian forces and
released from the reserves for refusing to train for Afghanistan, took part in
the rally in Toronto.CBC
The crowds included a few people with military
experience.

Canadian army reserves and released earlier this year after he refused to train
for the Afghan campaign.
"Today I'm here at the protest because I feel that
in whatever way I can, I need to assist in engaging Canadians in a broader
debate: the issues of why we're in Afghanistan and what the priorities are in
Afghanistan for our Canadian Forces."
At rallies in Toronto and Hamilton,
Ont., participants carried placards that read, "War resisters are
welcome."
Protesters in Halifax carried a large banner that said, "You
can't plant war and expect to harvest peace." Demonstrations also took place in
St. John's, Quebec City and Vancouver.
The modest crowds turned out as a poll
suggested a majority of Canadians continue to support Canada's military role in
Afghanistan.
The first major deployment of Canadian soldiers in
Afghanistan was in February 2002. Canada's military contingent there
now numbers more than 2,000; 43 soldiers have been killed and more than 200
injured in the campaign.

Pro-Terror groups demand Canada to Surrender to their agenda

Terror sympathizers and treasonists demanding the withdrawal of Canadian troops from Afghanistan mobbed the streets in cities across the country to participate in rallies organized by left wing labour groups, peace activists and Muslim terror sympathizer organizations.

In Edmonton, less than 100 people marched, while several hundred mobbed the streets in Montreal. None were reported to have mobbed the main street in Vegreville, which has very few muslims anyway.

The mobs also consisted of those who swore an oath to defend Canada, but broke that oath and chose to desert the military.

Francisco Juarez, a war deserter in Toronto, was fined by the Canadian army reserves and discharged earlier this year after he refused to obey a lawful order by his superior officers.He was in one of the rallies held by these groups.

Recent polls indicate that a majority of Canadians support the war effort in Afghanistan and support our troops who are serving there.

There are more than 2000 troops honourably serving in Afghanistan in the fight to liberate the Afghan people and defend Canada from the threat of terrorism.43 dedicated members of the Canadian forces have died in the service of their country and the mission must be successfully completed so their deaths are not in vain.

DAWN OF THE DEAD SOW-A HELLISH NIGHTMARE

I am not really good at posting graphics, so I am gonna use my descriptive writing skills and let the readers use their imaginations.The Halloween theme in relation to this issue regarding the court challenges program is gonna have a sort of Dawn of the Dead ring to it.You'll know what I mean if ya ever watched DAWN OF THE DEAD.My version, DAWN OF THE DEAD SOW-A HELLISH NIGHTMARE, unlike the movie, is a real living nightmare.


The characters are

SOW-The lil girl who becomes a zombie and causes others to be zombies at the beginning of the movie.
CCP-Other neighbours who got bit by zombies and became zombies, emselves.
Stephen Harper-Police officer with shotgun.The shotgun symbolizes the cuts the gov't is imposing.
CUPE-A Zombie that infiltrates the mall.The mall symbolizes Canadian society and the employees who are members of the union who are too blinded by fantasy to realize their union is wastin their dues to fund the radifem/radihomo agenda in an undemocratic way.

If you ever watch the movie, Dawn of the Dead, you'll understand this blog and it's personification of the fight to end this travesty by the leftist agenda.

On the movie,DAWN OF THE DEAD, the shotgun to the head of the zombies was the only way to stop em, which means Mr.Harper is taking down the leftist agenda step by step.You can help keep these zobies dead by doing what is listed below.

OTTAWA -- The federal
Conservative government says it will no longer fund women's groups that do
advocacy, lobbying or general research, leaving some to wonder what's
left.
The drastic change to the mandate and operation of Status of Women
Canada also drops the word "equality'' when listing the agency's
goals.
Previous objectives such as helping women's organizations participate
in the public policy process and increasing the public's understanding of
women's equality issues have been eliminated from government
literature.
Organizations that receive funding from the Trudeau-era agency
were stunned.
"When you look at this Conservative government's policy it's
like, `Be good girls, be quiet.' It's shocking really,'' said Monica Lysack of
the Child Care Advocacy Association of Canada.
Groups initially thought the
agency's core program had escaped the axe during a government-wide spending
review announced last week, when only the administrative side of Status of Women
Canada was cut.
But they were told this week by Status of Women Minister Bev
Oda that they would no longer be able to receive funding for projects that
involved advocacy work, lobbying of the government or general research, as part
of new terms and conditions for grants.
Oda was not available for comment
Wednesday.
The changes are consistent with program cuts the government made
to policy branches and advisory committees in several departments. Government
watchers say it's indicative of a move away from "government-funded lobbying,''
in favour of results-oriented projects.
Alia Hogben, executive director of
the Canadian Council of the Muslim Women, argues without the funding the
government provided her group, it would never have successfully struck down the
use of Muslim shariah law in Ontario family court cases.
"That makes it very
difficult, because if you don't lobby and you don't advocate, you're not going
to make systemic changes,'' said Hogben.
"A majority of us are new
immigrants, we don't know all the systems, we have to struggle with adaptation .
. . to say we're going to get money, or any large sums of money to do this work
is just not reasonable.''
Also in the new terms and conditions for grants is
a general statement of objectives for the women's program.
The last document,
published in 1993, said the program supported organizations that sought to
"advance equality for women by addressing women's economic, social, political
and legal situation.''
It also had a list of four other key objectives that
included women's involvement in the decision-making or public policy
process.
The new, shorter stated objective is to "facilitate women's
participation in Canadian society by addressing their economic, social and
cultural situation through Canadian organizations.''
Michele Asselin,
president of la Federation des femmes du Quebec _ the largest women's
organization in the province _ said Canadians expect their government do what's
necessary to uphold Charter equality rights, and sometimes that includes funding
outside groups to raise issues.
"It's fundamental to Canadian democracy
because all groups and lobbyists aren't all equal. There has to be financing
that supports independent groups that can question and analyze and give
different perspectives to government,'' said Asselin.
"That's part of a
democratic society to finance groups that defend rights.''

Gettin used to the job and enjoyin it more and more ev'ry day

I have been workin in the Canadian Tire Warehouse for almost 2 weeks now.The first few days have been tiring for me, but now I am not as tired and sore cuz I am gettin used to the work more.I am startin to enjoy it now.The boss is a decent guy with an excellent work ethic and good leadership.He should have run for politics and became the minister of Aborigional affairs so he can motivate the indians on the rez off welfare and workin, or he should be minister of human resourses so he can motivate the welfare bums to get workin.It would save us all alot of taxdollars.

Woman asks court for status as boy's third parent

An Ontario woman is asking the courts to officially recognize her as the third legal parent of a five-year-old boy she is raising with her same-sex partner.
The application, if allowed, is believed to mark the first time in Canada that a child would have more than two legal parents.
The biological father and mother and her female partner must remain anonymous because of a court ruling protecting their identities.
"The family has evolved over the years in a way that the law should recognize the reality of this little boy," the father's lawyer, Alfred Mamo, told The Canadian Press
The original application made three years ago, which seeks a declaration of parenthood, would give the mother's same-sex partner the same rights as if she were a biological parent.
That application failed because the family court ruled it did not have the authority to make a judgment on the case.
The applicant appealed, arguing she was in a special situation because same-sex couples require assisted human reproduction.
She contended that if the law does not make room for three legal parents, it is a violation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantee of equality.
"It's discriminatory, because one of them gets legally recognized ... the non-biological mother is equally part of the process except for the biological bits,'' said the woman's lawyer, Peter Jervis.
The case has provoked heated response from several religious groups, including the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, the Catholic Civil Rights League, the Christian Legal Fellowship and Focus on the Family.
The Alliance for Marriage and Family has filed a brief on behalf of these groups, stating its belief children can only have two parents under family law in Canada.
Janet Epp Buckingham of the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada said that to change the law "You would need to have the full hearings in the provincial parliament and it should be a legislated change.''
Meanwhile, the Institute of Marriage and Family Canada has issued a statement arguing that reproductive technologies are redefining parenthood in ways that may hurt children.
They cited a report that says the growing use of egg and sperm donors, high rates of divorce and single-parent childbearing and support for same-sex marriage are putting the interests of adults before the needs of children.
"Radical changes to our public norm of parenthood in law and public policy are challenging one of the most fundamental tasks of human culture, namely the struggle to forge strong healthy connections between children and their biological parents," says Dan Cere, director of the Institute for the Study of Marriage, Law and Culture, one of the four think tanks sponsoring the report, and McGill University professor of religion, ethics, and public policy.
"Breaking ranks with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, Canadian law now elevates the rights of adults to children over the rights of children to their birth parents."

Saturday night-sept 24

On Saturday night, I took a trip up to one of the local bars.I went to the Buckwild, which is my favourite in town.I don't go to the Alberta cuz it is too grungy and it is where all the local drunks and welfare bums go.I spent most of this morning sleepin off a hangover.The Buckwild is the best one to go to, especially if you're young n' like good music/dancin', and like to play pool, and just hang out.I went there and there also happened to be some bachelorette party goin on.This one girl had to do somethin crazy.She wore a pair of underwear over her jeans with a huge male organ (hoohoodilly, aka dick) stickin out.She danced with it on with everyone on the dance floor-the thing was swingin all over the place.She was also wearin a shirt that said-A BUCK, A SUCK-.I did not dance at all-I hate dancin.i thought that was funny.I went to the buckwild cuz I just got paid and felt like gettin sloshed and playin some pool.I didn't get home till 2:30 am.I'm goin to bed soon.I have to work tomorrow(MONDAY).
